The MiRegistry Trainer Approval System was designed to support trainers who provide learning opportunities to early childhood and school-age professionals.
Q. What is a Training Sponsor Organization (TSO)?
A. Training sponsor organizations can submit training content for approval, utilize online registration with training events that qualify as approved in provider learning records. They also have the option to contribute to the statewide training calendar.
Q. Who should be a Training Sponsor Organization?
A. Organizations that offer training are encouraged to become an approved training sponsor organization. These may include licensed child care programs, professional associations, colleges and universities, Intermediate School Districts, and more!

The Importance for Great Start to Quality
Beginning January 1, 2022 Great Start to Quality will only look at trainings that were taken through MiRegistry for the previous 12 months to count toward the professional development indicators.
This means that if a Self-Assessment Survey is submitted on or after January 1, 2022 all professional development hours within the last 12 months must have been approved and taken through MiRegistry. Child Care Programs can ensure in-house training will be validated by becoming a Training Sponsor Organization and submitting these trainings for approval.
