Child Care Network Names Aimee Nimeh Chief Executive Officer
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Child Care Network (CCN) has named Aimee Nimeh its next Chief Executive Officer, effective October 13, 2026. Nimeh brings more than 15 years of executive leadership experience across behavioral health, human services, and early childhood, with a professional background spanning nonprofit and for-profit organizations.
“Throughout our comprehensive search process, Aimee consistently impressed the Board with her leadership, experience, and thoughtful vision for the future,” said Cindy Hutson, Chair of CCN’s Board of Directors. “We are confident that Aimee will build upon the strong foundation of Child Care Network while bringing new ideas and opportunities for continued growth and impact.”
Most recently, Nimeh served as Director, Grant Funding at Learning Care Group, where her work included organizational operations, funding strategies, and program leadership. Her previous experience includes serving as a Project Director with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, serving as CEO of HAVEN, Inc., and holding multiple leadership roles with Common Ground. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan.
Nimeh’s experience encompasses organizational leadership, program development, funding, and community partnerships. She joins CCN as the organization expands its Great Start to Quality Resource Center services into the Eastern and Southwest Regions while continuing its longstanding work in the Southeast Region.
CCN’s established Community Programs department also leads two regional coalitions and four Family Child Care Networks, administers the Early Educator Wage Initiative in two regions, and helps families afford child care through scholarships provided by its Family Support Program.
“I am honored to join Child Care Network as we begin our next chapter. CCN has built a strong foundation of service and impact in our community, and I’m excited to work alongside the staff, Board, families, providers, and community partners to build on that foundation. Together, we can strengthen our partnerships, expand opportunities for children and families, and help our community thrive,” said Nimeh.
“Throughout the process, Aimee emphasized relationships, transparency, value setting, and collaboration - key elements that already unite and elevate the work facilitated by the outstanding staff at CCN,” said Christine Snyder, a member of CCN’s Board of Directors.
Nimeh succeeds Annette Sobocinski, who concluded her service in July after more than 11 years with CCN, including 10 years as Chief Executive Officer. Recognized regionally and nationally for her advocacy in early childhood education and care, Sobocinski helped expand CCN’s reach, strengthen its partnerships, and increase support for children, families, and early childhood professionals.
